"The Friend Zone"
Now, you probably clicked on this... and thought "Oh no, I'm her friend, and I'm a guy... WHAT NOW?!?!" or if you're a girl you're probably going "YEAH PREACH IT".... But this isn't so much for the guys, as it is for the girls.
(SORRY GIRLS)
And if your a friend of mine who's a guy. Chill out. There's no subliminal messages here. If I wanted to tell you something, I'd say it to your face.
Secondly, I'm not an expert on this stuff. I've never had a boyfriend. So if you hate what I say... move along...
That being said.
A guy friend of mine read my last post, and suggested I write on the "Friend Zone".
Now. Before you go yelling at me and I get angry comments.... let's define the friend zone.
The simplest way to put this is one sentence: "There are certain things you should do with only your girlfriend."
I have a lot of great guy friends. Honestly ladies, sometimes you're the most confusing species in the entire world. I swear. Guys will straight up tell you if you look nasty, and most of the time their opinion of you doesn't change based on what color the sky is that morning.
A friend will respect boundaries if you put them there. Ladies, you need to be brave enough to say to a guy EARLY ON IN YOUR FRIENDSHIP "I'm not comfortable with that." If he's really your friend, he'll respect your boundaries. If he doesn't, then you need to find a different friend.
Guys: PLEASE. PLEASE. Tell us if you have different intentions than straight-up friendship. I've heard we tend to read into things, which is probably true. So just save yourself the trouble of having to watch your friend eat a whole half-gallon of icecream.
Friendship between a guy and a girl happens only when both of them are willing to be honest with each other, and respect the other. A guy can be a gentleman, and not be leading you on. In fact, the friend that suggested I write this is a great example of that. He will open doors for a lady, and treat her like she's worth something.
But see, the "friend zone" needs to be avoided at all costs. The people who live in the friend zone are weird. But you know them; This is the guy who will fawn all over you, but never wants to date you. (and vice versa for the girl) this is the guy who says "I LOVE YOU!" and pays for your meals, but won't pay for the ring.
This is the place where girls will tickle you, bake food, buys you things randomly, and flirts mercilessly, but refuses to be your wife.
THAT. My friend, is the Friend Zone.
And it's a very bad place to be.
Sometimes it's up to you when you cross the line into the "Friend Zone". For instance, I absolutely love having people over to my house and cooking for them. It's an absolute joy for me. I love watching people's faces light up when they eat some new recipe I tried. Guys like food. Guys are honest. So I invite guys over to try different food. If they hate it, they should tell me.
BUT.
If a guy starts coming over once a week to eat food that I wasn't planning on him eating.... then he's crossed the line.
LADIES: The "Friend Zone" is crossed when you allow the guy to believe your dating. Because taking this advice just from a chick doesn't make a whole lot of sense, I'm going to include a quote from a conversation with my friend (Who happens to be a guy):
There's nothing wrong with watching a movie with your guy friend. Just make sure when you do, you make sure he understands it's not a date. Not because you *love* making things awkward between your friends.... but because you love him as a Christian sister, and want to make sure you don't hurt him---i.e. RESPECT HIM.
Too often we girls get so caught up in telling guys that they need to be respectable and treat us like ladies, that we forget we need to respect them. How are they supposed to reach a standard even we don't believe they can reach?
You know what? This all boils down to something God outlined in the Scriptures a *long* time ago.
"Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31)
Be love to them. Not the wife/husband relationship, treat them as your sibling... If anyone were to attack (verbally or physically) one of my younger brothers, you'd better believe that person would be going home with a black eye. (Violence is not the answer....But you get my concept) He's your brother, so don't be one of those people who deserves a black eye.
Guys, she's your sister. Treat her like you would want your own daughter to be treated.... and don't be afraid to tease her like you would your own sister.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
It's time to Man-Up ya'll. Ladies, it's time to show a little respect:

There's having a guy/girl friend, and then there's the "friend zone". There is a large difference between the two.
The simplest way to put this is one sentence: "There are certain things you should do with only your girlfriend."

A boy turning into a man....
Recently my little brother described what kind of guy he wanted to be, and I was seriously impressed:
NO. You can't have him. He's my little brother. HE'S MINE.
But seriously, he's the sweetest little kid, his heart is so huge... sometimes I forget he's a teenager HA.
This week there has kind of been a re-occurring theme of what a "good" guy should be like. But, it's probably just because of valentine's day. But anyways, I thought I would share what I've found:
I have to say... the brotip made me literally LOL.
Don't worry guys, I believe that women need to act like ladies. I think that too often girls get all preachy at guys and forget we're supposed to live differently as well.
Hope these made ya smile!
"See, there's gangstah, and then there's 'cool'. When those guys look in the mirror they're like; 'Yo mayuhn, Imma get me some chix....But then there's classy.... I want to be classy. They look in the mirror and they're like; 'I'm gonna get me a lady. We're gonna get married.'"
-Little Brother tips his Fedora-

UrbanDictonary.com describes classy as this:
"An adjective:
1) meaning very stylish and elegant.
2) not crude or misgusting or dirty or depressing
2) a deeper, more meaningful word for 'cool'"

The Valley of Despair
Nothing here was visible, it was all covered in thick, dark, fog. This is the place where my deepest horrors lived. This is where my past haunted me. In this place it hurt to breathe. My legs became the same as lead, great strength was required to put one foot in front of the other. I could swear the fog here was laced with something. Something that took away the will to live.... Or maybe it was the memories that were simply haunting me.
Exhaustion seeped from every limb in my body, and my head pounded behind my eyes.
When I closed my eyes to dismiss the frightening terrain in front of me, all I saw was deeper darkness.
Here, my thoughts couldn't save me.
Here, I had no will to sing a song to pass the time, I didn't even have the desire to stay conscious. To lay down and give up would be a relief, but I know if I lay to rest, then he will come.
The beast.
If I were to rest my weary, aching head... then he would devour me. The warm dark fog would cover me as a seed of death was planted in my mind. But then, would that be so bad?
Who would miss me? Would anyone care?
I seem to be the instigator of arguments and disagreements in the first place, who would mind if he finally won?
Crawl.
Keep crawling.
My hands and knees covered in scrapes, but I have to keep moving.
The torment never seems to cease, and my mind was continually weighing heavier. My soul had no fight inside, it was beginning to wither away.
The cliffs above me, as I crawled towards what I thought to be a glimmer of light, began to take form.
These weren't cliffs.
These were embodiments of the voices in my head.
I couldn't be blessed with silence in this hellish place. Instead, the cliffs spoke whispers into my soul.
"You're not worth it, your a fake....."
"You're not of value, no one loves you..."
"Your core beliefs are bogus, everything you know is a lie."
"You're the biggest hypocrite, how could God love you?"
I clenched my eyes and tried to shut the voices out of my head by screaming at the top of my lungs, but there was no noise emitted, my lungs had given out. My nails scraped the side of my head as my hands tried to shut out the voices.
My body and my mind were against me.
This, this was the valley of despair.
I'd been here before. Every year when the sun went down, and the days grew long, I came here.
This was a desolate place. No matter what path I took on my journey, I always seemed to come back to the same place....
Which seemed altogether, too strange.
In a journey towards the light, how is it I kept coming here?
Every year my path took me back, I'm beginning to think I'm walking in circles...
That's when it hit me. I couldn't give up. I'd gotten through this before... but I'd never been alone....
It was then I realized someone was with me. Instead of crawling, I let him carry me.
We made it through.
Instead of whispers of hate, there were whispers of kindness.
There was the sound of victory in his voice, and he told me he'd been here before.
When we reached the other side, he showed me his wounds in his hands.
He told me that though we may encounter this place again, never to worry.
It is finished.

Where is Home?
So lately my family has been discussing the idea of getting an RV. It's only a dream right now, but it's been something my parents have been wanting to do for a while.
It'd get us completely debt-free, and would be a sense of freedom for them---no responsibilities, just travel the country.
As fine and dandy as that is, I really hate the idea.
-hides face in shame-
Now you may ask, "Why do you hate it?"
But even if you're not, I'm going to give you the answer:
I'm selfish.
Yep. That's pretty much it.
I really don't want to move again. Ever since I was tiny, the longest I have ever lived in a house has been about 4 years. We've thankfully lived in the same state for 12, so that's nice. The reason we move around so much is because the taxes are a lot less when my dad builds a new house after a certain amount of time. Don't ask me how it works, I don't know... I haven't filed my taxes yet and don't own a house.
But I'm in college, going away for school is a huge possibility for me. Not right away, but in 3-4 years. I just would like a place to come back to instead of wondering where in the country my family was every spring break.
The other thing is, I want to have one of those homes I can bring my kids to and say, "look at grandma and grandpa's house... this is where mommy used to live!"
Really stupid, I know. But each house has a memory for me, and I'd like my kids to be able to share in that....
Plus, I really love my house. We've only lived here for two years (coming this spring) and I absolutely love it. The house name is actually "The Lanelle" ... and it's yellow (which is my favorite color). So I REALLY love it.
You may think it's weird that a house has my name, but it's something my dad does when he makes a new house. Every single one of us kids has a "plan" with our name on it. The last house we lived in was named, "The Elizabeth", which is my sister's middle name... so it's not all that unusual for us... just something special my dad does that makes us smile. :)
But to be honest, the point of this post wasn't just to complain. ... but then again, you probably already knew that if you read my blog a whole lot.
This idea of an RV got me thinking... and well, there's a lot of talk about homes in the Bible.
There's also this passage that talks about giving up everything and selling it to the poor. The reality is, I really don't actually "own" much. I have a few possessions I saved up money for, but the rest of it's my Father's.
Which, is the same with my heavenly Father. I don't own anything down here, so I really don't have much say in what goes on in my life. Kinda scary, but comforting too. I trust both my heavenly and earthly daddy to do what's right, and instead of having to concern myself with my own future. Granted, my earthly daddy can't create my future, but I think you guys get the concept... right???
So I was thinking so more about this idea, and in pops this verse right?
I don't know what tomorrow will bring, and I can't scheme and kill to get what I want. Instead, I need to trust God with my future. He's got it all under control anyways.
Besides, my home isn't really *here* it's in heaven. I need to remember that my goal isn't comfort in this life... but honoring Christ:
So. If God wants me to take the gospel all over the country... awesome. Let's go.

For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will do this or that." As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him, it is sin." (James 4:13-17)

Techie Things
Well,I know I'm about break my really awesome unnocticable Ninja rule, and show my FULL face on my blog (Yeah, it's called a Ninja rule because you didn't know it existed. Now you're thinking.. "hey.. you know, I never noticed that!" and will probably attempt to find somewhere I've broken the rule.)
First, I want to show you a video that pretty much describes Techies:
Unfortunately, the person who posted the video has disabled embedding so just click here to see it
But this week I got to run some pretty cool techie things for a concert, and I got to do what I usually do on a Sunday morning.... but my trainies were pretty hyper... and some odd things happened that I thought I should show you:
Well First things first, we got a Christmas tree. You see, the Tech Booth somehow in this particular room ends up being the lost and found. So we got a Christmas Tree... We decided to have a little fun with it. We have begun to decorate this tree. As you can see, my friend was a having a bit of fun hiding. He loves to get on my nerves. He's a very good lighting techie though, and pretty swift on running Media Shout, a good trainee... Even if he does love to irritate me.
This is our tree topper. His name is Francias Garcon. I believe you say his name "Frans say Gar son" but I'm not really sure, so I call him Francis. The way he got his name is because my former trainee (Now one of my right-hand people, she blogs here) speaks French. We were discussing something, and I told her I didn't like the guy who made up French. She told me "French Guy" in French, which just happens to be "Francais Garcon" and he became our Lighting Mascot.

The LOVEE Chapter
Psalm 91:14-16 says:
"Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
This formed an interesting concept in my mind. The concept of loving God. (Yeah, it's an old concept... but hold on.)
So. In my every day Bible reading I'm in 1 Corinthians. This morning I started out reading the Psalm above. Then I flipped to my every day reading. Guess what chapter I was in?
You guessed it, 1 Corinthians 13; the love chapter.
So I read it. I've read it a bunch before, but usually in the concept of what friendship should be. (Or a marriage.. pretty much if you're a Christian you should treat everyone with love)
But THIS time.. I read in such a way that I should respond to God... try it:
BAM.
Immediately I felt unworthy of behaving that way towards the Lord. The God of the universe. But see.. keep going...
You're not to insist on your own way with God.
You shouldn't get irritable or resentful with God.
Just like God, you rejoice in the truth that he has, and cry when the world does wrongdoing.
...
We're not worthy of behaving like that way towards God. Not really. Plus, he does no wrong... so it really should be easy to love him. We have the privilege to love God!!!
How cool is that?!
Not only that.. but read the verse again. We're told that God *IS* love. Replace the word "love" with God:
"God is patient and kind; God doesn't envy or boast; he is not arrogant or rude. He does not insist on his own way; he's not irritable or resentful; he doesn't rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. He bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. God never ends."
Now obviously there are some things there that don't fit word-for-word... like "believes all things" (He is the author of all things, so why would he have to believe in them???) but you get the point.
God is love. We're supposed to love God. We aren't even worthy of loving him. But he loves us.
HOW EPIC IS THAT?!?!
"Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."

I read in such a way that I should respond to God... try it:
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." (4-8a)Did you get it? We're supposed to be patient and kind with God...

11 Things I Learned in 2011
Just so that you guys know, I have a lot of unfinished posts waiting to be completed so that you can actually see where my thought process was going.
I haven't forgotten about you.
So here's some stuff I learned in 2011, just because it's January first... :D
1. Don't ever let someone tell you you're too sheltered. The stuff that I've been told in response to being "sheltered" is stuff I already knew, and wished it wouldn't be repeated. Honest, you're not missing much.
2. Education is not the most important thing in life. Really!! The government will tell you that education will solve all the worlds problems.. but it doesn't. In fact, sometimes it creates more problems. I'm not saying don't learn to read (Come onnn, I like my readers, why would I chase you away??) I'm just saying it's not THE most important thing in the world.
I had to learn this the hard way. Ever since I was a little kid I've been an overachiever. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it all the way, the right way... or not at all. Which can be a very, very, bad trait... but it can also be very good. I got to college early, which is an achievement in the "homeschool" world...but I've had to learn that really, that shouldn't be my focus. No matter how smart I get, or what job I have.. there are still people out there who don't know what peace and freedom feels like. They never experienced pure joy from knowing unconditional love. They need Jesus. No amount of PhD's or Doctorates will ever give them that. I have to be careful that I don't get distracted from my goal of Christ.
3. You need to stand up for what yourself and what you believe in. Showing someone unconditional love doesn't mean letting them run all over you. Being love sometimes exposes people's ugly side. It's necessary to love them despite their "ugliness", but it doesn't mean being abused. Don't get me wrong, when I say "stand up for yourself" I don't mean in the sense that you don't trust God. But that if someone says you're unworthy, you don't take that. You say "No! I am created by God for a purpose, what you say doesn't hold any value in the large scheme of things." Sometimes this is something you have to just tell yourself, other times, you have to let the person know you won't stand for their belittling any more.
If you don't stand up for what you believe in, then it's not really your belief. You're just a hypocrite. If I profess to know the God of the universe, and won't defend him in the schools, or behave like I know him at home, then I'm a fake. I'm not worth anyone's time. There's no point to what I say.
4. Love comes from God alone. The only way humans know what love even is, is because God imbedded it into our brains. When we fell from grace, we lost what pure love looked like. We don't model it very well anymore. No guy or girl can ever give you pure love, no matter how hard they try. And if the guy or girl your dating isn't pushing you towards Christ, then he or she doesn't really love you.
5. I am dangerous with sharp objects. No really... it's not even funny.
6. I love my family. I don't like their bad days... but really, wouldn't it be weird if I did?
No seriously, my family is amazing. They have such a cool dynamic. They love to tell stories and laugh. We could sit around a table for hours just talking about different things and laughing. Not only do they love to do that, but when the laughter subsides, we can talk to each other. If we're having a hard time in life, school, work... we can sit down and say "this is what I'm struggling with" ask for advice, and prayer. It's such a blessing.
7. Homework is the most retarded thing on the face of the planet. What's the point of sitting in a classroom for an hour and a half, and coming home to do three hours worth of work??
And they wonder why kids are obese these days... I mean really, they don't have time to play! They're to busy being "educated".
8. I have weird beliefs. (ha!) To me, overpopulation and climate changes don't really seem like an issue. But apparently they're huge in today's society.
If we came from evolution (since that's the most widely held belief in the public school system, in my area today) won't we just adapt to the issues of overpopulation?
Hey... won't we learn how to take the heat? Hmmmm.....
9. I am no longer a tomboy. I used to hate wearing dresses and makeup..used to have burping contests with my babysitter... (oh boy, I just admitted that...)
Now I loveee dressing up and having tea parties with my friends.
10. I have some of the best friends in the whole world. I got a bunch of friendship necklaces from a whole bunch of my girlfriends, and have been wearing all of them around my neck all at the same time. It looks really really retarded, but it reminds me of how loved I am.
If you had told me when I was in eighth grade, that I would have the friends I have now, and even the AMOUNT of friends I have now, I would have laughed in your face... and probably punched you too (told you I was a tomboy) But the Lord has really blessed me. He's changed me a whole lot, and blessed me a whole lot.
I guess I need an 11th thing for 2011...
11. I really love shiny sparkly things. Fireworks, explosions, glowsticks, LED's, fresnels, Pars, Cyclicals.... you name it, if it glows, emits light of any kind... I love it.
Those are my eleven things. How bout you guys???
I haven't forgotten about you.

Dark Silence to Joy
The world was dark.
The silence between God and man was deafening. It had been going on for four hundred years.
Religious rituals, mind-numbing customs, and a sense of abandonment.
The emperor even sought truth, because it seemed no where to be found.
This time, this was the right time.
God came crashing into our world.
The world light up as angels filled the air.
This was not a silent night. The silence between God and man was broken. The sound of music pierced the air as angels declared God's entrance into our world. Cries from the God-man gasping for his first breath sliced through the quiet of a stable.
Religious rituals were shown to be futile. The customs were now given a meaning, and the world now knew of it's purpose.
Truth had entered the world.
No amount of silly Christmas songs can do this situation justice. The night was not silent. Mary knew that her child was to be the Messiah, and there was no little drummer boy.
There were the cries of an infant, the decelerations of an angel, and the applause of none.
All this. For what?
To show us the light. To declare to a severely warped world that there was still hope.
The world began with light.
"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the ace of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light." and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness."
The world was the same in those days. It was without form. It had no meaning. When God came to earth as a child, God declared "Let there be light" .............
"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. "

A stinky, smelly, dirty baby. Jesus.
Uhoh, better hide. Now that I'm off of school my mind is ready for some hearty meat spiritually/mentally. That means contemplative blogposts.Don't know how many of them will actually get published... but, hey doesn't matter.
Christmas is in like eight days, and I have to say that I have not felt very excited, joyful, etc. My emotions just aren't lining up like they usually do this time of year. Don't get me wrong, the excitement I get from the lights at night makes me sooooo happy that I want do the Snoopy dance. Christmas parties make me laugh and enjoy life... but I'm not talking just about the season.
I'm talking a little bit more about the reality of my Savior coming to earth. THAT hasn't quite hit me yet. Sometimes Christmas seems a little over-rated to me... I know, that sounds terrible... but to be honest, shouldn't we be thrilled the rest of the year? But. I understand that we're stupid humans and we forgot the realities of life a lot. Just like I am right now. So I thought, I'd post something Christmas-ie... I know you guys are probably overloaded on Christmas, but I kinda wanna hit the meat. Sometimes we get so overloaded on the candy in our stockings that the Christmas turkey doesn't sound good anymore.
I know, weird way to think about it... but I think that's the way we get with Christ sometimes. So I wanna look at the meat of things.
Meaning of Christmas: God. Entering our world as a child.
Too often I think his birth is glorified, so much that we miss the reality of it. This God, entered the world he created, and we messed up. The world which we rant about that our hands have wreaked havoc upon. This world where the cruelty we impose on our fellow humans is something we fall asleep with tears streaking our face---this is the world the God of the universe entered.
He entered this world as an infant, his parents waiting to see if he would take his first gasp of air. The God of the universe, that holds our lungs together, was born, gasping for breath, screaming into our darkness, crying out for life as he experienced oxygen for the 'first' time. He created the molecules that make-up oxygen, yet had to learn how to breathe it just like we do.
When he was born, there was no fanfare. We too often forget that the angels didn't sing to Mary and Joseph. The angels declared a savior to the shepherds. The wisemen probably didn't come till he was a tad older, I've heard three... but I'm no historian.
After birthing a child for the first time, Mary wraps her infant in what she has. "Swaddling clothes" I think is often glorified as well... however, I've always had an image of Mary tearing the bottom of her tunic to wrap her child in. She had nothing else in my mind, but again, I'm no historian. I did go to the trouble of looking up "Swaddling Clothes" and even though wikepedia isn't the most reliable source, I found some interesting information.
It's said that swaddling a child was very common, however it's been known to cause SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and DDH (Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip) basically it's a chronic dislocation of the hip.... So, I wouldn't be at all surprised if from being swaddled Jesus walked with a limp... it would fit in with the scripture from Isaiah saying;
So our Lord entered the world, the Lord that could at any moment cease to keep our hearts beating, the Lord that feeds all the animals in the forest was no incapable of taking care of himself. He had to rely on his parents to feed him, clothe him, and wash him.
This BLOWS my mind. He was an infant, yet fully God. Was he aware of it at that time? I don't know... but you have to imagine.. as Mary, it's obvious she believed that this was the Christ. She had SOME inkling. (She DID know.. so stop singing that song please.Kthanx) that the child in her arms was going to rescue them, but I'm not sure she fully understood what that meant. Imagine feeding the infant that you believe to be God incarnate... a little intimidating, no?
But it was also her first child. She had never had a child before, what do you DO with them? "Am I worthy? Am I doing this right?" Probably ran through her mind a thousand times.
The Lord probably wasn't always treated fairly when it came to disicipline. ;) But even as an infant, I don't know... it just blows my mind. He came as a baby. A smelly, stinky, dirty, baby.

He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not."I am by no means saying this is fact, but I AM saying that it's possible... in fact if you google "Swaddle" there are instructions on how to snuggly wrap your child without dislocating his hip.

Christmas/Sound/Bass/Homeschoolers/Jumpers... I NEED SLEEP
So today was really fun. ... and tiring, and I really am sick of Christmas music. OHHH and that dumb bass riff. Serriously. Plus the attempt to make it better by switching up a key. "OH LOOK. WE ARE GOOD MUSICIAN. WE PLAY TWO KEY. NO THREE CHORD FOR US. WE PLAY SAME CHORD HIGHER."
Okay. Yeah.. maybe I need sleep.
Tomorrow I gotta get up early again. (Yet I'm still up, why is that?) I'm teching for the highschoolers :)
Sad part.
I have no cyc lights.
THEY STOLE THEM FOR THE SWEETIES.
Cruelty.
tsktsk.
Which means I should probably get there double early to patch them.....
OOO Something else to talk about:
I want a bass amp like the one that I got to use today ^_^
It's probably worth more than my left eye. But I still want one. It makes the bass guitar rattle the room mwhahahahahahaha <--- laugh of musicianal joy.
I haven't gotten to do a whole lot of musical things since I started college. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I had actually stuck with the plans for Music Therapy. But the truth is, I'm too much of a coward when it comes to playing in front of people to actually go through with the idea.
Unfortunately I'm missing the oppurtunity to be a gaffer for the Raleigh Ringers Concert so that I can study for a math test.
Just one more reason to hate math I suppose.
The good news is, if I get a 60 on the test, I'll still pass the class... with two points to spare. So. Let's hope I get more than a sixty. This is my first time ever taking finals.
Plus, I can't wait to get back to enjoying my family. They've been complaining about me not being around. When I get home apparently I "Hide in your room." ... but they know it's cuz I have homework that I can't ignore :(
The other thing I can't wait to do is be able to call a friend and say "hey, wanna hang out?" and not have to think about how I have to get up in the morning and function and do homework and...
Yeah. So much for homeschoolers being unsocialized. WHAT IS THIS. WHY YOU HAVE THINGS CALLED SCHOOL DAY? WHY YOU NO HAVE FREE TIME? WHY YOU STILL NOT AS SMART AS US? DO NOT UNDERSTAND.
;)
-walks around in a jumper-
Best part of being a homeschooler? When someone asks you if you are unsocialized.
There are so many ways to answer this one.
"Why am I talking to you? I'm not allowed to talk to people. I'm sorry. Please stop talking to me. My parents will ground me and make me work the farm the whole week without help. THEY MIGHT EVEN KILL BESSIE. Great. Thanks for talking to me. Now my best friend is going to turn into a hamburger. MURDERER."
Then when they realize you're joking being like "yeah, pssht. We totally walk around in jumpers all day."
Then they look at you and say, "What's a jumper?"
.....
-facepalm-
MMM DELISH.

Purity vs. Innocence
I don't have a picture for you today.
Instead I have a thought. Well, rather two thoughts... And maybe my thoughts are a little blunt. But I believe they are worth posting.
I've been reading a young friends facebook wall, and it just makes me want to cry. I guess I don't understand the point of young girls looking to intimacy with a guy for love. Why keep going back to something that just doesn't satisfy?
My other thought is this....
There's a difference between innocence and purity.
Innocence is something a young four year old girl has, sure she has a flesh that one day she's going to have to give to God, but she's naive, new, and innocent to the world. Innocence iss something that is admired, but something she loses as she gets older. Not because she has been evil, but because life has been evil to her. As she turns to 14, and even 24 .. she may still be a virgin, but she's no longer innocent.
She's seen the reality's of life.
The thing about purity, is that it's a renewal of innocence. It doesn't mean that she doesn't know about the crudeness of life, instead she chooses not to be a part of it.
Purity is a CHOICE.
Innocence is a STATE OF BEING
No matter what happens to a girl who's pure, she'll always be pure. Purity is something God provides her the ability to have.
Innocence--- the state of being completely oblivious to sin (and or the evils of the world)... can only be regained in heaven. See.. in the Garden, the thing lost was this "innocence". Once Eve at the fruit she had the knowledge of good AND evil.
No one can handle that knowledge, and not sin, except God.
One day, purity won't be scorned, and innocence will not even be abnormal. But until then, I'm going to strive to be pure. No one can change that.

AS PROMISED
Alrighty my beloved stalke---er I mean, blogger friends. ;)
Now is the moment you've all been waiting for!!!
I AM PUTTING UP PICTURES.
I'm not putting them in any particular days order, because well, lets be honest. You do the same show all week... the pictures get kind of boring... so I'm going to put up the interesting pictures, and call it good. Is that fair?
Good. Cuz I'm doing it anyways.
Our church has an amaaazzinggg bell choir. They're just fantastic.
This was my view every night. We had a hazer, and I was running spot. NOW. You tell me.. Would you be able to aim YOUR spotlight properly in that?!?!
I guess you could say you lost the forest for the trees.. .(or however that dumb saying goes)
This is our sound board. He's pretty. He's completely digital. I'm not 100% positive how many channels he has, but he's amazing.
AHHHHHHH I LIVE OFF THIS STUFF DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS.
This is what you see as your setting up XD
We have this joke. See, okay... We had our church raided by dear this summer. NO LIE. So we made a joke on it during Christmas Sweet. We had the deer running through the building during the performance. It was great.

OH INSANITY
Dearest followers of my blog. I have failed you. I have not been able to post pictures, and missed taking a picture on Tuesday. HOWEVER. I have a TON of pictures that I'm intending to put up at some point in time... I've just been insanely swamped with school and Sweet.
In fact, I've run on so little sleep that I accidentally missed a quiz on Tuesday. :/ I serriously am debating not going back in the fall. But my parents say I'm just exhausted and after break I'll feel differently.
My response?
Maybe.
I guess I just don't see the point when I could be doing an internship and accomplishing the same goals. But then again, if I really am planning on going to Full Sail... then I need school. But since I'm young for college anyways, taking a semester off to work.. probably isn't as terrible as it sounds. I have my whole LIFE ahead of me... I'm just tired of wasting it in a classroom all day, and when I get home, sitting on my butt to do homework. I can't sit still that long. I have to be *doing* something... S:LDKFHSDL:GH
Anyways. That was my rant. I'll probably rant some more when I'm not so tired....
But I will get those pictures to you guys. .. .Just give me some patience :) Every time the Holidays roll around, I think of a line in a song by Switchfoot:
"Stars looking at the planet, watching entropy and pain. Maybe start to wonder how the chaos in our lives could pass as sane."
I'll leave with that. Because if I don't go to bed now, I'll try to wax eloquently and look back on it in the morning and think "wow, that's a caffeine post."
Anyways.
I WILL POST PICTURES SOON

Key Lime PIe
Today was the first day of Sweet!!! (The concert at my church)
Technically it's supposed to be a "Dress Rehersal"... but we had people watching it. So I was super jittery and nervous, even though I'm not really doing that much for it. I'm running Spotlight ^_^ I super love doing behind the scenes stuff :)
Anyways, I was totally going to put up an awesome picture of Sweet, and completely forgot my camera. But I did get a picture of today to show you:
:) This. This is a Key lime pie. A MINI ONE. Okay so after church, a few of my friends and I usually hang out and get lunch together, then go watch a movie together. This week they had a "late thanksgiving" dinner. But I didn't get to go, because I had Sweet Practice. So my friend brought me over some of the dinner today. Which worked out perfectly for me because I was supposed to be leaving, and didn't really feel like fixing something to eat... So I just ate what my friend brought over :) TAHDAH. My Key Lime Pie was amazing. It was full of awesome sause. I've never had Key Lime Pie before. It's really good. Today went pretty well, it was still really choppy, but now that we've actually run through it twice tomorrow should be a piece of cake. LAWLZ. NO PUN INTENDED. Anyways, I need to get some sleep. I have a test in the morning :P NO FUN. Only a few more days till school ends ^_^ then finals :'( NS:LDKFJ:LHGSF:ALSIKJ CHRISTMAS BREAK WON'T COME FAST ENOUGH.

Thur-Sun
I probably will have no time to update my Facebook this week. Between my schoolwork, homework, and Christmas Concert we're having at my church, I'll be surprised if I have sanity left. :)
I intend to still do the picture a day thing... Idk how quickly they'll be put up, but I intend to try. So I know I told you guys I'd post mine from my break. So here they come:
Thursday:
See, this is a very special picture to me. We NEVER set up our tree before December 8th. But now that I'm in college, and have like no time... My mom set up the tree on thanksgiving day. I was so shocked. As a lighting technician, you can guess what my favorite part is.
Friday:
I got to help a friend decorate...Again, ... you can see why I love Christmas
Saturday:
We went to a bonefireee :) The people who had it made the BEST chicken. TODAY:
This is the sound board we use for the Christmas Concert.
ISN'T THAT EXCITING?!?!

Goodnight.

See... when I was younger, we lived in NY. :) That has nothing to do with story... actually, it does. Because I catagorize my stories by what house I was living in at the time. ANYWAYS. We were living in NY and we were all so young that me, and all three of my siblings were in the same room. Well I had the bed next to the window. My sister had the bed on the other wall. Well one night, right before I went to bed, I happened to look outside my window.
That's when my fear began.
I glanced outside. There were thousands (okay, not thousands) .. BUT THERE WERE A LOT!! Of ladybugs, crawling around INSIDE the screen of the window. As they were trying to escape, tons and tons of ladybug carcasses lay in the sill of the window. In that sill, were thousands of ladybugs that had tried to escape but couldn't.
I have no idea why this terrified me.
But I was so scared, that I ran to my sister's bed asked to sleep with her because there were ladybugs outside my window.
She told me I was ridiculous and to go back to sleep.
I went and tried to lay back down.
I couldn't sleep.
So I waltzed over to my younger brother's bed and asked him.
He told me I was ridiculous and to go back to sleep.
I crawled tentativly into my bed.
Then jumped up, and ran into my sisters bed.
I squished and squeezed until she finally succombed.
I slept in her bed.
THE END.
I hate ladybugs.
